The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

OK, so we had a topic of Cool Ideas for disc names and It was awesome!  I have been thinking about awesome names for a course.  Everyone says, oh you'll know what to call it based on this or that...  I don't feel that way, I think I'll know what it is when I hear the most original name.  The course is going to be in Olean NY, on OLD ROCK CITY RD, there is an old railroad grade, a creek, maples, oaks, and pines...  None of these things are necessary in naming the place, just thought I'd add some ammo...  Olean Oaks, OLD ROCK CITY, I just can't think of anything...

Olean Oaks is a good name, but slightly on the predictable side. What's the course like? Hilly, flat, open, closed? I think it would be cool if the name reflects how it plays and what its made up of. Something like Hyzer Hills, or Bogey Creek, or Olean Allies. I'm not sure, you be the judge. Naming something is always hard. Good luck.

Looking at Olean's history and public events, they seem to be known for a City Public Squirrel Art Display and some other things.

Squirrel's Hideout DGC
Squirrel Park DGC
SouthWestern Park DGC
Adam Hoops Memorial Park (man who named the land of Olean)
Timber Park DGC
Timber Hoops DGC
Tank City DGC (was one of the largest oil depots for a time)
Little Chicago DGC (known for its bootlegging crimes, Al Capone visited Olean frequently)
Railroad creek, maplepineoaks, par 54 where are you?
I just walked the land... I'll say it has 500 ft of elevation change from front to back. It will be a challenge to have 8 flat holes. I was thinking about incorporating the word or a synonym of hill
New Olean DG Track
Tracks of my Tears
Makin' the Grade DGC
Timber Trek (or Track) DGC
Grade A DGC (or Canadian might be Grade, Eh? Disc Golf)
The Guyser

Shorten the Old Rock City =O.R.C. road dgc,Are the squirrels red?=Red Squirrel DGC, "Old Oaks DGC"
Just name it for something familiar in the area. Walk around the course and listen to the trees and plants. They should be able to tell you something.
