The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Many companies have been trying different things with discs such as adding weight in places, adding finger groves around the rim, creating a grove in the rim, etc.  What are some things that you think could be done to make a disc do something that a "normal" disc couldn't do?

Side note (just didn't feel like it needed it's own forum)  Shouldn't the Roc be compared to the Wasp, and not the Buzzz?

Not thinking of anything at the moment that would help disc makers.

As far as the Roc, Wasp, and Buzz thing...

A Wasp and Roc are comparable when the Roc is brand new whether it be DX or KC, but KC does tend to be slightly more stable. I throw a Z Wasp and have several Rocs in different plastics, haven't thrown one in champ plastic though. The Wasp and Roc do have that large bead which the Buzz is without, but I believe that is what makes the difference in stability. A DX and KC Roc will eventually fly similar a Buzzz when it gets beat.

I think the main thing that people compare between the Roc and Buzzz is the utility of the disc and them being nearly same as far as speed is concerned. The Buzzz and Roc are some of the most versatile mids in the game. The reason for the long debated discussions is that they've been around longer than a lot of the other mids that are coming out. I think that the game and discs are evolving so much that comparisons may change. For the old timers I don't think that it will as it will always be between the Buzzz and the Roc. The both have their place and they both have a spot in my bag.
I carry a Wasp, Roc, and Buzzz. IMO they are all different. I never tried to compare the three, becuase they do their job well. Now if I had to pick just one....It would be the Roc, because it can do the job of the other two (not as well mind you), but not vise versa.
How about a workable version of the 10 meter brick in driver form?
I dont think anything like the 10 meter brick would be good for driving, I own a 10 meter brick bought it because it looked cool but it is exactly what it says it is. 10 meters and it flips hard rolls and doesnt do the stuff that you need it to do. I think people who own these would agree with me so much. They are completely useless.
How about slightly larger diameter with the wide rim @ more like 180 grams or more? Imagine the roller you could throw with that.
like a zephyr?
does it have a "nuke-like" rim?
oops, didn't see the wide rim part. zephyr is like a catch disc from innova.
Fun disc too, I have one and use it to warm up with sometimes.
Maybe finger size grooves on the inside rim where you grip??? I cant really think of anything to improve discs
There is somthing like that on a gateway mid i think it might not be what your talking about but it feels really good.
Make a disc that I can throw lefty but finishes like a righty hyzer :)
Lefty forehand ;)
