I think the name fits the disc perfect by how it's described. I think the A is pernounced different in yahoo and wahoo
Yeah, that's a pretty lame name. I hope that's not really what they named it....

From The Horse Himself:

I was concurrently working on a different driver which has been submitted and is called the Wahoo. Flight numbers are expected to be 12, 6, -2, 2. This is a float in water long range driver in R-Pro and weighing about 169gms.

After finishing the Wahoo, I went back to designing a high speed, low weight driver similar to the Katana, but at lower weights, and with more high speed turn. This disc won't be ready for release until next year.

Why not give it a Boat name as it's a floating Disc, Titanic ... of a fish name... anything is better then the sound a 12 year old boy makes when a girl says yes I'll go to the movies with you!
I looked the wahoo up on wikipedia and found out that "In Hawaii, the wahoo is known as ono" which is the first thing I usually say after I drive. As in: "Oh no that's deep in the woods."
I feel there's a Yoko Ono joke to be made, but I just can't top Mike's "deep in the woods" comment.
Call it the Plastic Ono. Wasn't that the name of John's band?
that's a good idea, call it the Triton ( the best kind of boat).
DGA makes a disc called the Titanic already. And it doesn't float.
Why not flounder, floater, popeye or navy seal (they fly and swim as do marines). If I threw it you would probably want to call it the flounder:)
Wahoo will float in water up to 169-170grams.
