Man, am I the only one out there that has tried there new discs ( Striker, Vision, Riot, and Core) or the new Opto plastic ( Can you say old Innova gummy, well close). Come on Ladies and Gents. You have to give this stuff a try. I know it's a scarry thought that you might have to throw out your Roc ( well multiple Roc's) or Wasp after you try the Core, but it's OK. Change is good. Soooo try it you might, like it ;o)

the striker is a sweet disc never tryed anything else seen the pure putter and it's low profile ...mid's i love my buzz and drone and the comet so my mid's are great... but the striker i hate to say it but this is a great disc it's hard to put down
I'm feeling ya... I've been a huge Discraft fan since I got a Wasp and Surge... of course Innova and Millennium are pretty much all they here sell in SAtown... I picked up a DGA Shockwave after watching the promo video.... and just recently got a Gateway Element...

Latitude 64 is my next "other" company that I wanted to pick up (I saw the full page Striker Ad in the Disc Golfer mag)... I love trying different discs, some work well, some don't but I am always up for something new
If you start your discussion advising me to throw out my rocs I have a hard time listening to anything else you say. You're right: it is a scary though and I reject it utterly and completely. You are a raving lunatic! (I'm only joking with this post)
I know, I couldn't help myself. But it was a tongue in cheek. I know how close people are to their Roc's and Buzzzzzz's
But I do REALLY like the feel of their Opto plastic. I haven't throw it yet though...maybe I threw the Core once, I don't remember what it was like though.
I probably thought, "Well that's not as good as a Roc" and never gave it another thought. :-)
First time I threw it. I thought hmm, it's a Wasp, but thinner. Still trying it out. I have it next to my Roc (couldn't take mine out either! and won't) I like the Opto plastic as well. I had some hard tree strikes with them. Hardly a mark on them.
thinking about ordering theriot as a disc to go between orc and beast. anyone know how it compares?
I'd say try the Striker or Vision. The Riot is pretty overstable. I'd say maybe Teerex or Pred overstable. The Vision is like a FAST Sidewinder. The Striker?? hmmm might fit what you are looking for.
The Vision is super understable, try the Striker.
The new Blitz (Disc formely known as the Slítz) is a great flyer, overstable, but hold the line very well, great in headwind, flies with a reasonable fade.
I have alot of trouble with overstable discs. Can only throw 300 to 350 feet even with a beast. thinking about that vision, not sure if it's worth pulling the beasts out of the rotation though. Know of any discs that would work for me from other companies? I really want to try the opto line though
Try the Striker. The Vision is kinda like a Sidewinder. The Striker reminds me of a longer Valk. Maybe a bit more stable but not much. Put it this way. I throw approx 300 to 330 on a good day and I can hyzer flip the Striker, but it flattens out with little to no high speed turn. The Vision I get a helix out of it, but both have great control and seem very predictable. It's the Opto plastic that I fell in love with. It's like Z or Champ plastic with the grippy feel of FLX or Star plastic IMO
