The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

We would like to welcome all Disc Golfers to try our soon to be released "Disc Flight Sim" PC Windows XP Vista Disc Golf Game. A free Demo version is now available

We are just a few ordinary guys from Bakersfield. California that have been working on this for over a year now

We had noticed that there arent really many Disc Golf games for PCs available so we gave it a shot and are getting great reviews thus far.

The Demo is free and gives great details and screenshots of the game and you can actaully play a three hole course for now. The website is www.Discflightsim.com

It is key that you type in the word " demo " in lowercase after the download takes you to Mediafire to unlock the file . Then you will be able to download the demo version. There are instructions as well at our website.

Thanks and we would appreciate any feedback!

Great idea. Reminds me of back in the day when I used to play DOS games. I was able to move around in the game using Xp at over 100 FPS but there were many problems once I tried to play the game. After I closed out and tried to start the demo again I was tolf by XP that the demo has "encountered a problem and needs to close." I must say that this could easily be better than the Innova gae - but the new Wii game (http://www.1000rated.com/2008/08/new-disc-golf-wii-game-pdga-presen...) will probably trump you big time. That being said, if you can develop this game so that it is actually stable on both XP and Vista, I think you'll get a lot of downloads. Good luck!

Thanks Brian for your feedback. We are still in the final stages of the production release. If you want we will give you the full version of the game to test out, As far as Wii is concerned we know that the PDGA has done work with them and we cant wait for that either. We are just targeting a different venue and want this game to not only be played but to design your own courses using all what we have designed but also share your courses built via email to your friends and visa versa. Thanks for your comments they really mean alot. If you could please give me your email address so that we can give you the entire game for free. Also thanks for the error message comment as we need to look at that. Thanks Again!!! Jerry Frost..Disc Flight Sim
Hi Jerry,

I was able to go into free play, throw different discs and pick them up again, but when I wanted to play the 3-hole course, I got an error message "course file not found- demo2".

The game looks quite nice though!
Hey Jerry, I work in the video game industry as a Concept Artist but have some 3d modeling experience from the art school I went to. I was just wondering what tools you used to put this game together? Are you guys using a game engine that you guys built from scratch? I know Unreal 2 is free to use. Best of luck to you, I wish I could make a game from scratch. It's an awesome feat. I'm going to download it and try it out after I get my password.
Hey Mike,

password is "demo" all in lowercase (and no quotation marks!).

Cool to throw, but wanting to angle the flight path or hear chains. Obstacles would be a massive plus. Good work though.
In the process of D/l'n. Thank Jerry and all of your team for putting the work in on this. I dont have a wii, nor would I ever get one so this is an especially great game (in my book).
Can't wait to open it up now that the d/l is complete!

Not bad man look really good.

once you get some game play on there it will be great!!
Any plans for a Linux version?
Thanks for the note about the missing demo2 file. I'm fixing it now, and placing another demo out on the discflightsim website. I'll make sure it's working, if you want to download it again. Gordon
Great game. No power meter makes disc selection key. Like what happens when you run into basket, funny. The cracks in tee pads are great, very realistic, great graphics all around. Great job, Let me know if you need beta testers for the full game. Needs chains sound, sounds like a fart now.
Thank you for making this game! I will definitley buy the full version. Even the demo is crazy fun. My farthest throw so far is 1043 feet!!! I also got an ace on the first hole of the three-hole challenge!!! Too bad it was an extra shot. Just like Justin, I like running into the basket and watching myself almost pass out. And I agree with CBass, disc angling would make it a lot better. I haven't heard much about the Wii disc golf game. But I have a Wii and my dad will probably buy it.

Thanks,
Rizbee Jr.
