The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

We would like to welcome all Disc Golfers to try our soon to be released "Disc Flight Sim" PC Windows XP Vista Disc Golf Game. A free Demo version is now available

We are just a few ordinary guys from Bakersfield. California that have been working on this for over a year now

We had noticed that there arent really many Disc Golf games for PCs available so we gave it a shot and are getting great reviews thus far.

The Demo is free and gives great details and screenshots of the game and you can actaully play a three hole course for now. The website is www.Discflightsim.com

It is key that you type in the word " demo " in lowercase after the download takes you to Mediafire to unlock the file . Then you will be able to download the demo version. There are instructions as well at our website.

Thanks and we would appreciate any feedback!

mine seems to be being stupid. After i click the installation thing and it says complete, there is no icon on my desktop
There is a way to tilt the disc just click the out line of the disc in the disc selection area and click it right or left to make the disc turn. I think this an awesome game. I think it needs like a accuracy meter like a meter where you have to stop it in a certain area to see how good your shot is. That way there is room for bad shots. Because we all know that happens in real disc golf. I can't wait to see a full 18 hole course.
hell yea, i knew i got a Wii for more than just bowling and playing t-woods!
Just because there is no icon doesn't mean it didn't install.

Thanks for all the feedback to our Windows PC Disc Flight Sim game. We have worked very hard at putting limited suggestions in. This is version 1.0, Its great to get ideas from real Disc players. The feedback has been awesome and I would like to say Thanks!

When you get the full version here is what you can do:

Build your own courses from T pad to Basket.. Add Trees, Objects and Bushes at your desire. Check out my screenshots in the Demo as they are some of the holes on courses I designed. Its like going where ever you want in Free Play and starting to build your course there. Its an awesome feature. I cant stop building and playing the courses I designed. Not only that i can email my friends the courses I built for them to play.

Oh and anotther cool thing is that you can design your own disc and place them in your Bag.Color them and choose flight patterns from speed. stability turns and glide.

The Free Demo has been updated, There is a Putting Course which is kinda fun. each hole is worth the hole number and so on. 45 score is the best possible. If anyone gets 45 I need to make hole 9 tougher. well maybe.lol.

Thanks again for all the feed back as it helps!

Once again, will there be any chance of a Linux version? I was going to try to run it under WINE but the demo wouldn't even download.
Very cool stuff Jerry cant wait to take the full version out for a test drive!
Jerry,
I briefly checked out the Discflight demo and thought it to be fairly cool. But check out the Jack Nicklaus Golden Bear Challenge ball golf program and courses. If you can get a disc golf program to look and play like that AND have online gaming capabilities...let me know. But in the meantime...your program will be fine.
Ken,
kindofabuzz,

No Linux or Mac version real soon. The best chance for a Linux and Mac version of this game is if one of the large manufacturers funds that kind of expanded development, maybe in exchange for in-game advertising or something. Not many independent developers can afford to target the Mac or Linux. Sorry it didn't work for you under WINE.

If you simply couldn't download the demo, then please try it again. Maybe it was off-line while I was updating.

Thanks.
I played it for a while. Birdied all three holes in the basic demo but still failed. did a few rounds of putting too.
It has entertainment value. I hope the final version will be out soon.
Or just open source your code, I'm sure there are linux programmers who play DG and would port it to linux.
