The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
I thought that this was some great news from the PDGA. I figure I would post it and we could discuss our thoughts on it here. Please try to be civil. I think this is a good start and shows that even though we don't think it but the PDGA is trying to do more to promote the sport. Brian Graham was a great interview and I will have the rest of the podcast out soon. Just as the interview ended I lost power at my house so I have a little bit of editing to do to get it done.
This is the forward thinking I think some have thought the PDGA didn't have. I have heard rumors but here is the confirmation that we will see Disc Golf on cable somewhere. It's a start!!

Permalink Reply by steve sevonty on January 3, 2013 at 3:58am make it a high school sport and watch the boom
Permalink Reply by David Ledford on January 3, 2013 at 5:35am I would watch the sport on TV, but then again I love the sport. I also watch watch the sport of sailing on TV.
Most folks are into only the mainstream sports, and many folks are particular even then. The TV audience for disc golf will be very narrow and limited, but maybe the quantity will be sufficient to justify the means.
I try to promote the sport of disc golf whenever I get the chance, but my priority is actually playing disc golf. I figure it's their loss for not trying the sport at least once to see if they like it.
Disc golf offers many advantages over other sports (inexpensive, solo, year round, etc) just to name a few.
I actually find it unbelievable that everyone doesn't play. But hey, I prefer no crowds so I am good with the way it is now.
Permalink Reply by mr ed on January 3, 2013 at 1:32pm Interesting concept.Comcast will take the money and still want their viewers/customers to pay to view.Certain area markets have the monpoly for tv coverage dealing with comcast.
likewise, school sports should get involved. Not everyone likes contact sports.
