The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I think that most disc golfers will get some fun out of this article from The New York Times. Gregg Hosfeld shoots pictures of funny signs and posts them on his blog during his disc golf travels. He's a really funny person. His blog is worth reading. Here's a long quote from the article I mentioned:
In the scale of embarrassing place names, Crapstone ranks pretty high. But Britain is full of them. Some are mostly amusing, like Ugley, Essex; East Breast, in western Scotland; North Piddle, in Worcestershire; and Spanker Lane, in Derbyshire. Others evoke images that may conflict with residents’ efforts to appear dignified when, for example, applying for jobs.
These include Crotch Crescent, Oxford; Titty Ho, Northamptonshire; Wetwang, East Yorkshire; Slutshole Lane, Norfolk; and Thong, Kent. And, in a country that delights in lavatory humor, particularly if the word “bottom” is involved, there is Pratts Bottom, in Kent, doubly cursed because “prat” is slang for buffoon.

As for Penistone, a thriving South Yorkshire town, just stop that sophomoric snickering.

Oh the tears of laughter. That was great.
I agree... the Miniac has put quite a few smiles on my face in the past. I always enjoyed and looked forward to reading his articles in the old Disc Golf World magazine.
I once saw a sign while driving into Adrian that said, "Clean Dirt for sale".
I liked that the local Dr in Penistone spells her town to people by grouping different letters together: "p- e- n" pause "i-s-t-o-n-e" and when people ask where she lives, her reply is "near Plymouth"
John...I've seen that sign as well on the drive from Lansing to Mt. P.

Here in Idaho, we have a great little town called Plummer, and one of the sites in Plummer is a Mountain Butte.
So we have...Plummers Butte

(Plumber's Butt...for you slow ones)

he he...children's jokes are the most fun to laugh at.
there is, or was, a company in the DFW area called "Potter P. Pools"

what was really funny is that they had a billboard and for some reason the colored the "P" in Potter a different color so it looked like it said "otter P. pools."
ha ha ah ha ha ha....

dont get me started...
Here in Michigan we have a town named Hell. I always liked driving into town and being greeted by the sign that reads "Welcome to Hell"
I'd be like.." Detour!!!!!!!!"
