Okay... say you were going to design a course, but you can't really afford baskets yet, but wanted something to throw at; and also to show the general public what they can anticipate, what would you use instead of a basket? I have seen many things, some better than others, but I wanted to know if there are any creative, but budget friendly solutions out there that I have not heard of.

That's pretty damn cool. I was thinking about how I could make a better 'tone pole', and I think you may have given me an idea.
the top plate is 11 3/4 " x 1/2" plywood , 3/4 hole in middle 60 degrees for each clank position 1" in from edge . clanks are1" x 1" x 23 7/8" long . one 6' shelf bracket with a 1" x 1" x 57" long shaft to slide down the shelf bracket , and place top plate on top . everything but the top plate and shelf bracket is aluminum (best for action & sound ) good luck p.s. any questions i'll be around . aloha
Thanks for the details. Sounds like you have made a lot of these targets.
