Getting your Volvo plowed into an hour and a half before league and then hitting an ace on the second hole that you play. Honestly it happened. Too bad last week was the week when the big pot got hit. I made $26. Oh well. It's going to cost a lot more to get the Volvo back on the road. I had to drive across town with a board through the rear spring so that it wouldn't rub the tire. But I made it home and now I have to see how the insurance company treats me.

Look at the bright side:
At least your vulva didn't get plowed
Rim shot!

P.S. Don't even go there........
It was a pure ace too. I think that I was so amped up from the accident. I barely made it to league and I have thrown that shot so many times. That was just a pure shot. All of my aces have been like that. I thought about where I wanted to put the disc and let it rip. Just felt really good when it left my hand. I knew that it was close and then "chains". It's so hard to explain but all of my aces I have just been "in that place". Same thing tonight.

What a weird day. I've owned that car for 7 or 8 years and put around 160,000 miles on it. It's an '84 turbo and it still runs like a beast. But it always sags in the rear and now that's a real problem. I was going to get it towed but they wanted $120 and so I MacGuyvered it with a two by four and made it home. When I hit a bump I could hear it rub the tire and smell the burning rubber. Oh well, tomorrow is a new day.

We were actually 4 down after three holes but my mind was all over the place. I don't even know who won doubles tonight.
All kidding aside...glad you are ok.

And good onya with the McGruber/Gyver
BTW, last week the ace pool got hit for $564. The guy who hit it actually split it 50/50 with his partner and also brought beer to this week's league. I made a great shot on the wrong week. I knew that I was due. Man if only my timing was better.
yup
and leaving the house 5 minutes earlier woulda helped too
And going to a different liquor store to buy my beer. The true question is if I wouldn't have gotten swiped would I have then hit that ace.
Only if a butterfly snapped off a micro-fart in Japan.

Chaos theory....and chaos
I love chaos theory. I will definitely keep the Star TeeBird but the Volvo may have to go. The turbo does work well for cooking burritos however.
This is a car worth salvaging if not to expensive to do so. It's a great vehicle without the turbo.
I plan on getting the car back on the road ASAP. I just have to wait for the "determination of liability" by the insurance company before I start hammering away. It's basically some metal damage and I have a friend who is a fellow disc golfer and does body work. He told me that he would help with pulling the metal out so that the car is once again drivable. He has tools as well. There really aren't that many 240 Turbos around anymore. Lots of 240s but the turbos are more rare.
You just go on and enter the Matrix, Neo... yep... :)
