since 1989. you'd think I might actually be a decent player by now.. right?!
1997 ish.. And still in Women's am4..
since 1999--but took 5 years off between 2004-2009 to work on my ball golf handicap (8)--I'm just now getting my game back...
I played Frisbee golf in 1976 and 77 at Miami Whitewater 18 hole course outside of Cincinnati. A really fun, challenging course when played with a 144 and 165 gram Frisbee.

In 1987 I worked with a guy (Tom Forde) who said he was in a disc golf league and invited me to join. I did and have been carrying a bag of discs ever since.
In 2000 Jeremiah Libby introduced the sport to me in Maine where he grew up. When visiting we rented discs and played at a pay to play course just north of South Portland, Maine. Can't remember the name for the life of me... We had blast, I played a little while I lived in pittsburgh, I think I have been to your house Jay. Maybe? Was a member of the PFDS. In the last 2 years I have absolutely fallen in love with this sport. The funny thing is, I never took it seriously til I moved to a town where there is no course for an hour and a half. Morraine is two and a half hours away. Now I play once or twice a week and have impoved dramatically. That is why I am going to build a course in Bradford, PA this summer. I have my business plan all made out, I have 15g saved up for the downpayment for a loan, and I have a group of ten or so willing to volunteer with me do the labor, in exchange for lifetime family memberships. I know you are a person I should reach out to. You have done so much for the disc golf community, I hope to do the same here in Bradford...
since 2005, but i didnt get serious until 07
26 years with pole holes, 23 as pro. Couple years prior to that on natural targets at parks with lids! 24 years PDGA member. Basically saw every disc except the original eagle. Started at Joe Davis Park in Lewiston, NY with an Aviar and added an XD and Aero, and Lightning P-48 (drivers then)! The Stingray was the first hottest driver then. Got me really hooked.
Object golf as a kid in the late 70's but I've been carrying a bag since 1988. Also played alot of Guts as a kid too.
Played with big Whamos at a place called the Arboretum in Ames, Iowa back around 1983. We had a par 2, many par 3's, par 4's and a par 5 with an alternate route past a barb wire fence through some trees. This was an all object course that included a sundial, fence posts, a manhole cover, and many trees. I didn't get into playing basket courses with real golf discs until 1995 when I moved to Colorado Springs.
Since 2000. Off and on Recreational play. Started playing competitively in 2006. Same as Eric Beich...you figure in 10 years I would have figured this game out, or all of us would have, and we'd be playing pro. Hmmmm....
I think 5 years now.
Since 1995 started playing in south bend in.
