Permalink Reply by Rescue on December 19, 2010 at 5:48pm Not knowing how you throw or how far it's hard to say. However when I first started, I had the same issue. For me it was a technique issue. I was turning my wrist over and using to much power (if possible). You just can't throw mids like you do your drivers or you will trun them over. Also, I'm inclined to think it has to be a technique issue for you as well, just for the fact you are turning over everything. It just shouldn't happen. I mean, if Ken Climo can dispell this turnover or understable issue, by using a putter and chucking it a mile and not having it turnover. I just can't help but think you need to look at your form first.

Permalink Reply by Socsavvy on December 19, 2010 at 6:45pm This is pretty much all good advice. There's not much I can say that hasn't already been said, but I'll try anyway.
Just like Rescue, I started off trying to power grip everything. I basically learned on drivers, thus I was unknowingly throwing all my discs as if they were drivers. Throwing mids typically ended with failure and frustration. I would flip virtually everything over and was convinced the discs just weren't right for me. Literally the only mid I could throw was a Drone. Then I started using a modified fan grip for mids and putters. This vastly improved my accuracy and overall flight pattern. I can't say I don't get a little jealous when I see guys throw a Buzzz as hard as they can--I've even been experimenting again with an occasional power gripped Buzzz--but I'm confident this approach is better for my game. In short, gripping/throwing putters and mids differently than drivers allows for greater accuracy compared to greater snap, respectively, upon release.
