The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

My husband andI are heading to Stillwater and OKC this weekend.  I was hoping the great brain could aid me in finding some good intermediate courses  I don't mind trees, but I am not a fan of the 600ft hole.  any suggestions and directions from I35 would be appreciated.  Thanks!

well if you can make it to the city go to dolese, but there is only one course that i know of in stillwater and its a fairly small one but ive heard good things...
Will Rogers is a short & easy 1. Ya'll have fun!
Hoyt Grove in Stillwater sounds like a good course for you guys. Look it up on dgcoursereview.com .
I absolutely loved Dolese!!! I can't wait to go back and hit Griffin bark as well.
im happy to know, when did you guys play??
i hope to meet you guys out there
Twisted Acres at I-44 and SW 149th I have heard is really cool. We are going to check it out Thursday I will let you know. But it is pay to play $8 for day time and $12 for night but they have stadium lighting.I will let you know if its worth the money.
Here is A link on the PDGA site on the course http://www.pdga.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=20406
I ended up hitting the course with a girlfriend Sunday afternoon. It was pretty busy, but with most of the holes being of moderate distance, the flow went really quick. the locals were courteous and very chill.
I have heard good things from the kansas guys on that one!
I guess they closed it down I just called and found out : ( sorry
Boomer Lake is a great course in Stillwater. Well marked and maintained. However some of the holes are awful long and I'd use the alternate Tee on hole 7. Its right near the turnpike too so not hard to find.
I believe this is the one in Couch Park and while the front 9 is good the back 9 gets kinda Squirrelly.
