I have a CE whippet and really like it, very overstable. That is the only one I have thrown so I don't know if they are better but they don't come in CE plastic any more and imo that is the best innova plastic.
My dad threw whippets back in the 90's that is how i learned em by going out in a field and just throwing. now that im playing i really love em
I have only seen one mold of whippets. Did it used to have a bead or something? I have never seen a CE Whippet. Every once in a while I accidentally call my CFR whippets CE. I will say this ALL WHIPPETS ARE GOOD DISCS. And EVERYONE SHOULD GET SOMEONE ELSE A DX WHIPPET FOR CHRISTMAS.
yeah they have a bead and they are my general driver. I bought 1 2 years ago and it has gotten beat up so it turns over with a hard drive. I got a old school glo whippet sunday and traded a guy a dragon (i found no name of course) for a black 1999 florida state champ whippet from the rocklege florida course now extinct
I like the New Star Whippet X !!
I was lucky to run across some 1st run Champ Whippets. So I picked up a few. Man, what an overstable beast! As much as I tried to use it. It just didn't fit in my game. The Z Drone was not as stable and had better glide for me, but I know the people in windy areas love that Whippet. Well, windy and have big arms.
I have had a CFR whippet for over 2 years and after hitting a zillion trees with it, it's still the most stable disc in my bag. It has gotten sraighter, but a monster none the less. Go DX WHIPPETs
The Whippet held a spot in my bag for many years...the original DX molds were great...the DX Wx's were better. They did eventually lose their stability though...I bought them in pairs or trips. I always got several months of reliable stability out of them. Now that I think about it, of the day, they did seem to last longer than most other DX pr premium brand plastics. Once the the Champion Firebirds emerged...I no longer needed multiple whippets. Haven't thrown one since.
yes, I think the shape of a whippet naturally makes it a stronger disc and takes longer to break in than other dx discs
I've got 2-3 brand new heavy old mold whippets for sale
