Opto and Gold Line Question

Just got my Gold Line Vision today. God this plastic is beautiful! So I haven't really had a chance to compare the two plastics side by side (Opto). So I was wondering if anybody has had a chance to do so? I guess my curiousity is if one plastic flies further than the other, or if one is more stable than the other. Like Star vs Champ plastic, were you tend to get more distance and stability from the Star plastic.

The Gold line was developed as a Grippy form of Opto. They still use the Opto plastic mix but add some different polymers to get that Grippy feel. I have not noticed any significant differences in stability or flight characteristics myself, but that does not mean that there arnt any. But as with any discs, i find all molds, colors and platic types have there own unique subtle charcter.

The Opto Vision is a really straight flyer for me, while the two Gold Line Visions I have thrown were more understable, including one that I have which is 180 grams. I'm thinking of trying it out as a backhand roller disc.

I know that I was pretty disappointed in my Gold Like Striker. This stuff is beautiful, but it's nowhere nearly as grippy as my Opto Line Vision. The Opto feels like the magical gummy Champ plastic from Innova, and the Gold line just feels...stiff. I've got nothing against the harder blends, it's just not what I was expecting.

I went and threw a round with this disc and it's safe to say that I'm no longer disappointed.
