The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

We need Oshtemo Township residents to attend the Parks Board meeting on Feb 9th. If you want to add more holes and prevent the shortening of existing holes, please be there! A buddy of mine went to the Oshtemo Township meeting today for the Parks Board. We need a strong representation of township residents at their next meeting on Feb 9th!! They are looking at changing holes because it is "intimidating" for walkers to have to walk near the disc golfers. WTF!! I'm not that bad! Please attend if you love Oshtemo Disc Golf Course. Be there and bring your neighbor :)

Okay folks, bump this up. Show up. Represent.
Thanks Terry. If anyone knows anyone who lives in Oshtemo Township, please talk to them about attending in support of our course! Thanks!
dont live there, but you have my support
which holes are they talking about?
Intimidated by the disc golfers? How effing weak is that......I live in Grand Rapids but love that course, sorry to hear about this, I might drive down for the meeting just to express my disgust for the way they are acting in this matter, I'll try to look as unintimidating as possible..........should I borrow my nieces Hannah Montana shirt to squeeze into? No way you can look intimidating in a Hannah Montana shirt right?
Here, here. Oshtemo isn't as half as intimidating to walkers as Riverside Park is in Grand Rapids; and they're not being big babies about it. I used to be a resident of Oshtemo; and Oshtemo DGC is like a home away from home for me. Out of all the times I've been to this park, I have only seen a handful of walkers. They barely use the walking trails in comparison to the hordes of disc golfers that use the place. It really grinds my gears when some overly concerned citizen can't walk Fluffy at the local park, because "all those crazy 'frisbee disc golfers' and their rock roll music and their wield hair cuts and they're throwing tie-dye things at poor Fluffy"... sorry. I got a little carried away. You have my support.
I play Oshtemo quite a few times a year while visiting family in Benton Harbor. Is there someone at the parks to whom I can send an email of support?
I don't live in Oshtemo township but I will be there if at all possible. It's one of the best courses in the area and if anything should only get bigger.
How about a petition? That might be a good way for non Oshtemo residents to voice thier displeasure. there are several websites that can organize such a petition. One I have used is ipeitiions.com.
Love the course. I'm not a resident, but I would be willing to sign my name to a non-resident petition if that would be helpful.
Im assuming the holes that interfere with the walking paths. 11's pro tee has the path right behind it, and hole 9's pro tee has the walking path behind it. People get lost and think that the course has intruded on their path.
Oshtemo Township Park Board Director I would assume.
