I am curious about payouts for Worlds and am looking for some insight. Not complaining, whining at all, loved the tournament.

It might just be a mistake on the pay sheet, but I don't know? The Open field payed 7 of the last 9 spots the same (150) and it looks like the last two split that because of a tie. But there were other ties in that range too? In fact, a -31 got Blazek 160 and a -31 got Mcree 150? And what also seems odd to me...40% payout to all divisions with 126% of entry fees got the Grandmasters 200 for last cash but only 150 for Open? I had the horrible distinction of missing last cash in Grands by 1 stroke and my kid played Open so we looked at those two divisions, there might be anomalies in others as well? I can't remember what par was at Nevin for the semis, is my tired old brain missing something easy and I'm going to feel more foolish than usual?

Chuck? Others?

The amateur payouts were surprisingly generous compared to some other Worlds I've played in.  This is unrelated to your question but it is something I've been dying to say, and then I saw "Worlds" and "payouts" in a thread title and I was helpless not to say this.  Also, this may be the last Worlds with amateur payouts.  The PDGA wants to run no-payout Am Worlds in the future, more like the Memorial.

I wasn't involved with payouts. Surprised that last place cash wasn't close to $200 in Open. Could have been a typo with two players with same final score getting different amounts.

I've been watching the pdga forums and haven't seen it brought up there, pretty surprised if I'm the only one looking at that? People talk about it only being 150 but I have not seen mention of the same pay for different scores. I really have no intention of ruffling feathers so I didn't want to post there. They've adjusted things since I last looked and its gotten even weirder? Now a score of 407 pays Steve Johnson 160, a 408 pays Brian McRee 160, and a 408 pays Pat Blazek 150? I'll ask Pat if that is what he really got.

Pat just said his check was 160 so it probably is typos.
