The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Last Friday morning I was sending a PM to a fellow DGer at the PDGA website and my computer was infected with a Malware virus right after I sent the PM. I took my computer in and cleaned the Malware off my computer. The tech that worked on my computer told me that discussion boards are easy targets for hackers to imbed the virus code. Today, exactly one week later, my computer again was infected with Malware while viewing a discussion thread at the TDSA discussion board. Currently I am scanning my computer for this Malware. I was going to post a note at the PDGA discussion board, but I don't want to visit that site due to these virus' my computer is getting...so I thought I would post this info here. Hopefully someone from the PDGA will view this thread and look into this issue.

Beware the PDGA website! :(

As of this posting, my computer has found 4 infected objects out of the 97,000 objects scanned so far...AARRRGGGHHHHHHHH!

I would think an email directly to the PDGA main office would be more effective.
While I understand this can happen, why is it that only your computer is infected? I live on that site about 8 hours a day and have never had a problem, nor have I heard of anyone else having a problem. are you sure its not the porn site you're on? :)

The malware program may have not been removed, they can be missed or attached to a different file that will activate at a later date.

I use norton and haven't had any problems with the discussion sites, I have had malware infections in the past but they came through emails and not web sites.
The PDGA website and the Discussion Board are hosted on separate servers. I haven't heard any reports of prob&*$#^%$*&^*$ aargh$*^(o)(o)...
