I rode bulls for 20 years prior to finding disc golf. I still dabble in bucking cattle, although now I try to raise good buckers rather than riding them. I also wish that I'd have started playing DG while I was still traveling the country to rodeos, it would've been a good downtime activity and there are tons of courses I could've played.
I too enjoy mountain biking and on a few occassions when the course is not busy I have combined the two. On a decent size 9 hole course carrying only a mid range, I would play hole one, mount up and ride the paths back around and then play hole two and so forth and so on untill I was to tired to continue.
I gave up racing On Road RC cars for the fastest growing sport no one knows about... DISC. In the end my wallet and health thanks me.
Between disc golf rounds, I try to find time to work, spend time with my family, and play hockey. Hockey was original love and then I recently found disc golf, and that took the place of hockey. But I still play hockey on a team one or two nights a week.
