The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
I started discing with some old friends of mine and we got near the basket they asked me..."Do you play metals or does it have to go in the basket?" I was like what kind of shit is that?!?!? I was wondering if there were any other people that play the same way.
We play am ace race point game at the short practice course in town
You throw 2 or 3 shots depending on group consensus.
Each throw is scored as follows:
Metal on drive = 1 point
Chains on drive = 2 points
Ace = 3 points
Putt made for birdie on all lies = 1/2 point each
Pole on under basket = -1 point
So in a two throw per situation, if you missed all metal or aces you could get a point by making both putts in for birdies. It is a fun game. most point after 18 holes wins
Sher wood be fun. How often do you play there?
I miss Upper Park...
I played with some guys once and they told me that was their winter rules. They said winter you only have to hit bottom of the basket and up and it counts. I don't like those rules. Normally I feel real confident in my putting abilities so I wouldn't want someone else to have an advantage when I have put in lots of time practicing my putting.
I also agree with Mark, I wouldn't want to develope any bad habbits.
