Playing metals instead of the basket

I started discing with some old friends of mine and we got near the basket they asked me..."Do you play metals or does it have to go in the basket?" I was like what kind of shit is that?!?!? I was wondering if there were any other people that play the same way.

if your playing with real baskets its a no brainer put your putt in the basket ! now if your playing tone poles or windchimes you can play metal

When I lived in Juneau Alaska I know some folks that played metal, but thats kinda lame, kinda like hitting the back board in basket ball and counting it! Dont get me wrong those of you that have a scoring for an Ace Race, not the same thing as a reg 18 game.

 

If it's not in it does not count.

we do that only at night golf minis...if both you and your partner hit metal then it counts....stupid rule if you ask me...

Lame. For those who can't make a basket, go ahead and play "metals". The rest of us will be fine making baskets.
