PLUS MOLD.. what's the difference?

I stumbled across the TeeBird & TL "plus mold" at DiscGolfValues. According to them the "Plus" configuration rim... offers a beefier grip than the normal .  But that really doesn't help me much. WTF is beefier? The smell?

Can anyone give a good description of what the difference in PLUS MOLD really is?

Plus molds have a slightly slanted rim for an easier release, this change tends to make the disc more overstable or "beefier". It also makes the disc more prone to slip outs and early releases, although to its benefit you probably wouldn't have to worry about grip lock since there is no edge for your fingers to catch on.

I've noticed that slip outs occur when I am pulling on a higher line across my chest. I just have to remember to pinch harder on those throws. Where I love it is on lower line pulls or any thing that is getting a more extreme hyzer put on it. They also have a very smooth forehand release. They work great in conjuction with their non + mold cousins. They're not for every shot, but there should be no fear in using these discs, just know their functionality.

It has helped me with griplock. Also i like it on cold mornings it seems to me that my relses is smother off my fingers when they are numb.

Discmania's C-Line Td has the slanted rim as well, that disc is sic.

The Roc + is a great disc and I have both a Champion XG and R-Pro Roc+ and love both of them.  I find the Roc+ to be more stable then the other Rocs (DX, KC pro, and San Marino in Champion and Star) that I own.  The R-pro Roc+ is my get out of trouble disc and is great for a spike hyzer shot.  The Champion XG Roc+ is my favorite for 75' to 150' open shots at the basket.  Both have a permanent spot in my bag.

Part of the reason I have grown so fond of SkyQuest Discs is they have somewhat slanted rims on them and the edge of the rim is not sharp. Sounds like the same type of concept. I may have to try one myself!
