Corndawg, I hope you didn't think my comment back sounded pissy. I answer when I should probably keep my face shut sometimes due to still being a newbie. But, I just wanted to give my opinion on your question because it was a comparison I had actually tried.

I was truly just asking your definition of "Flippy". I got scorned by a local "God" of disc golf when I said "Flippy" in front of him one day. Changed the way I think about the term, for some reason.

I have Understable discs that I can TURNOVER in a controlled manner, but then I have discs that I can FLIP. Like you said, Avenger SS, Roadrunner, Stratus, Etc. Those are Flippy to me. But, my Stalkers, Cylones, etc, that I can control the turnover more, I don't consider flippy. I can only BEST about 360 ft on a good day though. I am Sure stable discs to me are Flippy for you! 450ft is a Monster!

Bottom line, sorry if I sounded like an A-Hole. Wasn't trying too.

No Jeff not at all, apparently I usually come across on message boards as an asshole, but I never intend to do so. No big deal at all. Disc golf as a whole is confusing when talking to multiple groups.

I'm in GA and we consider things to be flippy that are  on the way understable side. Any disc you throw that turns very hard right without coming back is what I would consider flippy. I have a Westside Discs King that is bananas when thrown full pull, worse then a Katana, but it comes back. I once had a L64 Havoc which says on the disc "overstable driver" but that damn thing was a roller.

I think that unfortunately IMO all the Speed 13 discs are either way overstable or way understable with the exception of the Boss. So I am considering going back to a speed 12 driver as my primary. Probably the Destroyer.

Distance will come, for most people it is one of three things; grip, pull, or run up. I take a longer and fast run up, pull across my nipples, and use a 3 finger power grip.
