So I throw alot of Champion Teebirds and Champion Eagles and I even have one Star TL. My teebirds & eagles used to be able to be counted on to turn at the end even if I threw them as hard as I could. Now they just go straight the whole way. I'm getting frustrated without that turn at the end and wondered if I should get a overstable disc for these holes I used to park with consistency. I can even throw my teebird with slow anny now (nice to have but...) The discs are not that beat up. Maybe I'm teaching myself to throw different.

I would like some advice on these things.

1. If I buy a Star Teebird will that stay stable with a low speed turn longer than my Champion? (Same with Eagle)

2. Should I buy an overstable fairway driver
Here are the choices
Banshee
Firebird

Discraft driver about 7 speed

3. Should I just be throwing softer?

try a Discraft predator, I had the same issue and still do with surges which feel alot like tl's to me. I fixed it by huking preds.. Could work?. see if a buddy has one to test drive and it might fix your propblem..
1. no 2.yes firebird or something close to the same should work.

No it won't Champ is generally more stable then it's counterpart in Star. Also Champ is more durable then Star, so Star will lose it's stability quicker

Fairway Driver's, I would look into the Firebird...These are very stable in Champ...so I would try it in Star.

Another good one but may be harder to throw is the Boss in either Champ or Star or A Star Max for an extreme Stability.......if it works for you there is nothing wrong with using a distance driver as a farway driver.

Yes and No....No, not for your big power drives...find the disc that works...

Yes it can help to control power but also adjust angle of release.
When my teebirds start losing the fade at the end I either delegate that disc to that straight shot and start using a new teebird (only holds it's stability for about a month playing many rounds per week), or if I feel like it I will just start throwing that slightly beat in teebird with a little bit of hyzer. It's not exactly the same line as a new teebird thrown flat and fading at the end, but the result is the same and the shot will work in most of the same places.
If you like the T-bird and Eagle try a Discraft Flash or Innova Tee-Rex in place of the Bird And Try a DGA rogue or Wraith or Orc in place of your eagle.
No on the Star, but I HATE Star plastic. Star plastic starts out overstable (more than champ), but breaks in quicker and becomes LESS stable than Champ. Heck maybe you are throwing with more power? but I find that my CE Teebird is a straight flier with some high speed turn. I would buy a more overstable disc. IMO the Firebird is one of the best overstable fairway discs. Most people swear by them for thumbers as well. The Banshee never did it for me. I just couldn't get much "D" with it. Having said that I also throw a 150g Flick (great disc, but buy it in 150g) Other discs: Pedator, XTRA, Talon. Once again IMO stick with the Champ and or Z plastic. Takes awhile to break in, but lasts a very long time. One problem with Innova is their quality control. You could buy 3 to 4 of the same discs and they might all fly diff.

In a Discraft I would highly recommend a Z Crush
I have a champ firebird that i use for holes like that. Stays straight till she slows down and then turns very nice. Ive had her for two years now and she still works like a charm.
