Question about Innova's "Special Edition"

I have seen a lot of talk and pictures about all sorts of collectible plastics like CE, Pro Line, Elite Z, and what not, but I was going through my stack of collectibles and noticed I have a lot 'Special Editions.' How do these discs fare in the world of collectible discs. Are these discs worth hunting and hanging on to or are they just fools gold?

FYI: I got 2 Leopards, 1 Eagle, 1 Wolf, 1 Rhino, 2 Tee Birds, all "Special Editions."

Don't know if this will answer your question fully, but I also have some SE discs. What I've seen is that they are in the middle as far as $$. I've paid any were from 40 to 60 buck for a SE Valk, Leopard, and Rhino. Out of those, I would say the Rhino seems to be the most sought after, just because you don't see to many of them. So as always, it comes down to supply and demand.

Special Edition discs were nice flyers until they hit enough trees, rocks, sidewalk, roadways, etc etc. Then they can become a great roller. Try releasing it at different angles and at different speeds. Do this in a field as to not waste more time hitting trees. The first CE plastic is by far the most wanted plastic out there. High prices on Ebay. Does nay one have the information as to how one would tell first run ce Valkerie as to a third or fourth run?. I know the second run were a flat top, and were far different than any other run. How many runs of CE plastic was there? Hope someone can fill us in more.

I think that there were 5 runs of the CE plastic. The more opaque the plastic the earlier the run. The 5th run discs looked like the champ. plastic we throw today. The first run discs had a chalky feeling. Also in the first runs they only made valks, leopards, eagle(EL), teebird(TL), and firebird(FL). Not 100% shure but I think the first runs were only in red. Hope this helps. Would you be willing to let any of those Teebirds(T) go for cash or trade.
