The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I played in a non-sanctioned tournament last year and finished in a tie for third place. I shot a 60 the first round and a 60 the second round. The guy I tied shot a 59 the first round and a 61 the second round. The payout went back to third place in my division. At the awards ceremony, the tournament director started with the third place finishers. He called out the guy I tied with as third place finisher, gave him his prize and went on to second place. There was no mention of me or prize for me.

The tournament was hosted by a local disc golf club that I am not a member of and the other guy is a member. Was this just favortism to the club member or is there something that I don't know about ties? The only other factor that I can see is that he had the best round of the total four rounds...that being said, he also had the worst round of the four too.

sounds like an oversight to me.
Most likely TD mistake. They probably only looked at top three names and went from there. (However, you should have been listed first as you had the best final round.)
