I think its similar to a Innova birdie or Polecat

I know Mr. Ellis loves them.
Jeez I don't know If Mr. Ellis likes it really. Seems to be on the fence IMO. I've only heard him gush about it a few hundred times lol!
It flies very nice and slow and straight, but I couldn't consistently grip the disc. It just isn't comfortable for me. I would recommend that you at least feel one before you buy it. I'm starting to do this on all new discs. I'll trust what people say about them in reviews, but there are plenty of discs out there that I've found I just hate the feel of (the discraft impact is an example of another disc that flies great, but I cannot stand the rim...the groove is another, wait, I can't stand how that flies either!).

So that's my advice, take it in hand or leave it. (pun intended)
its a true putter disc. not so good on the approach shots for me, so it doesnt make my bag. :)

The rattler is a deep-well putter that holds more of the curve angle you put on it, kinda like a catch disc.
It fits in your hand more like a Frisbee that you throw on the beach.
Old ultimate players and Freestylers feel more comfortable with this type of grip (and had to get used to throwing the shallow-well Golf Discs!).
Slow moving because of the lack of sharpness, this disc is usually seen before the tournament as a couple of people will be tossing it back and forth to warm up their arms.
If floats in the air slowly and does not sting the hand as much when caught.
Most players who carry Rattlers use it as a utility disc....when they need a short, slow curve shot that has a chance to hit the chains.
Regular shallow rim putters are hard to curve and require more ceiling space to bend around the corner.
Good Luck!
Rattler vs. Polecat-The Rattler has a more rounded top where it becomes the wing. The Rattler is deeper than a polecat.
Oh-I just get a pic of it for you!

Mmmm...those look like candies.

I'm an Ultimate player and still don't like the rim on the rattler. It's too deep for the nearly 90 degree angle of the rim to flight plate. Ultrastars are more curved on top and actually at the bottom of the rim too (like the aviar in the pic).
