Rocky Mountain Women's Disc Golf Championship

The Mile High club put on the second annual women's championship yesterday in Denver. The event had 95 women players and 110 caddies! Coolest event ever and that is not easy when its over 100 outside. Each girl gets a caddy, very cool to see a 10 year old girl with an old man carrying her bag. Especially when its a tiny little bag and the guy puts on his quad shocks! The sponsorships were unreal, the players pack for both the players and the caddies was worth lots more than the entry fee. Catrina Allen made $500 for winning a one dayer with 5 girls in the Open field. Several other top pros were going to be there but had to withdraw at the last minute. While it was awesome watching the top girls play this is really about the younger players. There were 39 in the rec field. Crazy when your funnest event of the year is the one you don't even throw?

We missed Rocky Mountain this, but I will have my daughters there next year. Congrats on a grea turnout, of both women and caddies.
