Has anyone ever witnessed an honest Roller Ace ? I ask because not too long ago I tossed a roller drive and as it neared the basket it rolled up the trunk of a tree and flew in the direction of the basket. 6' more and it would have gone in or at least hit metal. So how many, if any,  roller aces have ever been witnessed ?

I've never seen a roller ace, but I have seen a couple of "skip" aces. Not the same thing I know, but nonetheless very exciting to see.
san diegos morley field hole #9,dave parnell, roller ace
I have 2 skip in aces, always fun to watch. a roller ace is what I want hanging on my wall of fame
I hit metal on a 360' hole. It was really windy and I intentionally threw a 150g archangel roller just for fun. Anyway, there is a somewhat abrupt uphill followed by a valley that the basket is in. My poor archangel got launched a bit off the hill and to my amazement began to hyzer out like the end of its flight! I was dazzled by that alone and then it went off the cage!
about 8 years ago i sent a roller right through the chains bounced up off a root about 6 feet prior to the hole and right through the chains.... i was soo mad
There was one on video at the Masters a few years ago I think.

I've hit chains twice- once at Hobson Grove 11 years ago rolling downhill it launched off a glacial-rock right in front of the pin, sliced through the chains, and rolled O.B. behind the basket.

Also hit chains on #11 Monster course w/ a roller that hit the tree root 30 ft. short and went airborne.
I remeber reading in disc golfer magizine, that Greg Barsby got one in a major that is probably on film. last summer I think.
it was at De La Vega on the "Top of the World" hole. Video is up of him on the pad when it goes in but I have yet to see an angle of the disc rollin' in the chains.
Brian "CUZZ" Thompson got a roller ace on Maple Hill #4
my friend was my doubles partner and hit a roller ace a couple of years ago. It was a short technical hole that was only about 200' The disc rolled up to the pin, hit a rock in front, and hopped up and in.....
I've had chains only once with a roller, didn't stay in though. Chains (and everything else) were covered in about 1/8" of frozen rain, not very receptive. The shot rolled up a cedar tree a bit left of the basket, turned right as it rolled along some branches that normally aren't even there but hung low with ice, crashed the chains and fell out. Oh well.
Yes !!! They are Totally Lucky Shots !!!
