What is a Good first overhand roller disc>?

I had a Roadrunner once and it rolled like heck.

Now I have a Nuke SS.  When I first got it, I tried to forehand the disc like I do with my regular nuke.  It crashed on the ground about fifty feet in fron of me, and then proceeded to roll about a hundred and fifty feet.

I don't roll, it is to unpredictable for me.  A bumb here, a hole there, etc.  Too many variables.  But those are my experiences with rolling discs.

I actually use a Quest AT Raging Inferno. It has a lot of weight by the rim so that helps to keep it rolling. I have also used a TeeBird with good results. The more overstable disc should actually track straighter with a forehand roller. Of course it depends on what angle you put the disc on.

I think it depends on whether you mean overhead (like a baseball) or forehand flick. For example, I throw a fresh firebird for overhead rollers. When I throw, I typically come through the 3/4 slot. That way the disc has a chance to stand up, but doesn't turn over too quickly. For a forehand flick roller, just grab something that is beat up and rip it. Valks, roadrunners, and TLs have worked the best for me.

iVE  been throwing rollers for 25 years, to answer your question your first roller should be a heavy stingray, and as you progress you can try something like a rogue . Remember , just like an air shot , when rolling into the wind you would have to use something more overstable like a wraith maybe.
