The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

We are going to fire up the RV and take a trip nxt week to Va Beach. I am looking for local advice on things to do and places that must be seen on the Delmarva penninssula - out of the way great seafood resturants, lesser known camping spots, local fishing hotspots, and of course a disc golf course or two that must be played.

In Richmond, VA

Restaurant: The Boathouse (two locations, one listed as Midlothian VA, and the other is downtown) Downtown one is about 10 minutes out of your way.

Opening Friday, August 14th!http://www.theboathouseatsundaypark.com/boathouse_rocketts_landing.php
4708 East Old Main Street, Richmond VA 23231
Phone 804-622-BOAT (2628)

Course I installed, but not really a must see, just a nice plug for me: Goyne Park

Course you should definitely play: Bryan Park (It's a fairly new course in a really old park 100 or so years old. It's beatiful and challenging) This is also only 5 minutes off of Highway 64, which I think you'll be taking.

That's all I got. Have fun!!!
New Quarter Park in Williamsburg, Idlewild outside Cincy in KY if you're going that way. Armco White and maybe Blue in Ashland, KY if you go that way
hey now,NewPort News dgc,Bayshore Park dgc Va Bch,Quarter Park dgc WilliamsburgVa.LynnHaven Inlet used to have a great seafood/bar.Just down the road from Bayshore dg.rt 60 I believe.Park isn't to far from the Chesapeak Bridge exit/entrance.Sandbridge beach area was a nice spot, left that area of Va Bch in '79.Outerbirdge in NC is about an hour-two tops away.Great dunes.
Suffolk,Va not too far away, perhaps on the way towards Sandbridge.
Check the PDGA course site for additional dgc.Munden(sp) Va Bch area.
Between '76-'79 Bayshore was the only dgc around,Enjoy.
Thanks Chuck, Williamsburg is on the itinerary.
If you are taking I-80 and I-76, you'll be going near Moraine near Pittsburgh which is a very good course. The IUP course at Indiana, Pennsylvania is also sort of along that route and it is a lot of up and down fun if you like big hill courses.
