The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

My friends and I are planning a Trip out to Seymour Lake Park to play around this weekend. After reading the reviews online I only seemed to read negative feedback. For us it is about and hour drive out from Livonia, and it is the one of the few remaining courses for us to play in Southeast Michigan. Does anyone have any input on this course. Is it worth the drive out to play.
I read that a bridge prevents from being able to play 5 of the holes on the course. Is that true?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Its a decent course. The first hole was taken out so the could put in a water park. The second hole there is a pond, it was HUGE earlier in the year due to all the rain, not sure if it has went down yet. The bridge can be avoided by walking around it. Again its a decent course, worth the trip. If you have the time shoot over to Addison oaks , it's in the area and a MUCH better course.
I like seymour lake. there is the bridge problem but there is a a way aound it. Just look for it a baket in the woods as you are walking down the hill on 6 or 7. There is generally no one there so you aren't going to find a local to show you around, but the holes flow somewhat self explainatory. I live on the west side too, what i ussually do is make sure I take a map, and I map out how to get to addison oaks or stoney or riverbends from there. addison is the closest (maybe 15 mins), stoney metro is the next closest (maybe 20 mins), and then river bends (about 25 mins) all which lead you south, back towards home.

The bridge doesn't close out any of the holes at all you just have to take the hike around. It might be acctually dry by this time of year, hasn't rained much. The course itself is dry except for the hole that runs over a pond.

The course doesn't look like much for the first few holes, then gets interesting when you get back into it. I ussually make a day trip out of it and hit up at least 3 courses which makes for a great day.

75 to baldwin is the quickest way to get to seymour there are some nice restaurants in oxford.
Ha Ha yup that thing stole one of my discs last time!
