The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

It seems that with today's economy being what is is, it seems harder for people to donate and/or sponsor CTPs for local club events and tournaments with new plastic or accessories. I don't think the Junior or Rec players mind getting some new DX plastic at 8 bucks a pop, but the higher divisions aren't going to be too stoked. Someone told me that they won a burned copy of "The Godfather". I thought that was a pretty cool idea. Anyone have any other ideas?
Good luck to everyone in 2009!

When we hold events we hardly give out any disc golf gear as prizes we always leave that for the disc golf store to sell discs and then they normally donate money to the event anyways.

We hand out prizes such as Fishing rods reals and tackle, DVDs, Games some times we even hand out white goods.
At the "Club Dead" tournament events, they hand out funny money like monopoly money that is good on any of their merch, discs, clothing, towels, etc.. I personally like that, because you don't just have to get a disc that you don't want, I have heard very happy players from Mark Stephens events as well. It's nice to have a choice.
Club Dead rules... great selection as well.
