I threw a cyclone ESP last Sunday and it went off a tree and about 20 feet into the water.  During the summer I would have not thought twice about going in after it but it was 25 degrees out and 3 inches of snow on the ground and it was the hole furthest away from my car.  It wasn't worth the 15$ disc to go into the water.  I was thinking about getting a Golden Retriever .  has anyone used it before and is it worth it.  Thanks

It is SUPER worth it. I got mine last Christmas, between saving my own discs my friends and several strangers I am sure this thing has saved several hundred in plastics. Plus when its a drizzly crappy day and No one will come throw with ya, you can just throw it around in that one spot that eats other peoples stuff and find some stuff. And YES I am one of those guys that calls people that put their info on em.
Yes and yes but I only find sucess with it if I can see the disc still.

Get a lab...just as good around kids without being as spastic. HA

If you can learn to use it..it will pay for itself. The trick is being able to throw it accurately.

I would, I have one. Saved 25+ discs over 2 years, even found random discs just by tossing it into ponds near baskets sometimes.

Plus, for the only Esp Cyclone I ever lost (1st run) I searched in the mud/mosquitoes until 2am to look for it, alone. Then came back at 8am again for 45 minutes. Never found it, 20$ reward for return!

Yes
thanks guys I am ordering one tommorow
Order it from Amazon. I am sure it was a fluke but my girlfriend ordered mine and they sent us 5 of them. Obviously I regifted 3 of them. I keep one just in case I finally break this one.
I have been ordering from sun king but they have had an issue with every order I have placed and they don't have any in stock so I am looking into some new places but weight and color are important.  Its now between Marshal street and discgolfcenter
Ah the retriever only comes in one weight and color. Wait 2 colors. They have pink ones too.
I will be ordering discs with it as well the weight/color of the retriever does not matter

Discgolfcenter.com has free shipping, exact weight and color.  You can also purchase a golden retriever, which DO work.

I recently purchased a Fade Gear bag and a new disc from Discgolfcenter.com, they say 11 days for the free shipping...I got my order in 3 days!! PLUS it is the holidays and they got it to me today on Christmas eve.  They are the best online source, hands down.
