My partner and I were on a long hole, I rolled it and wound up okay. Then we remembered we had bought 7 mulligans and forgot to use them. So, "what the hay, let's use one!" He throws into the lake. Use another, I roll into the lake, etc. We used 'em all and wound up right back where we started! We still laugh about it!
Mullies are a great fundraiser for casual tourneys and ice bowls, but we never use them for league or sanctioned tournies.
That's about the size of it!! Great fundraiser option.
We ran a Double Elimination Handicap Tournament.

The difference in handicaps between the players were used as mulligans.

EX:
John +4 handicap
Joe -3 handicap

Joe got 7 mulligans to use whenever in the head to head round.
sounds fun
during practice rounds sometimes i set out with the plan to throw 2 from every lye.
playing the round from the worst lies.
the score can add up but usually i dont keep count,as this is a format to practice get out of trouble events.
now when i flub a shot at a tourny it doesnt destroy my mind, as ive practiced the recovery.

mullies when sold as fund raisers are a fantastic thing.
especially in doubles.
what i have realized is that most mullies are wasted but some are bennificial to the final score.
