I just got one of these Gateway discs specifically for dyeing! Hopefully i'll get to it this weekend, glad to see the plastic takes dye well. I'm going to dye the bottom and top to go for a sort of layerd/3d effect!
... Or the SHOCKER! I'm no star trek geek or whatever, but i'm pretty sure thats not what it is (the ring finger should be extended and spread apart?)

Good job for your first discs Tim! I'd suggest using a ruler or credit card and really go over all your edges before you plop it in the dye, on complicated dyes i might spend quite a while just pressing down the edges to ensure there isn't bleeding. I also try to be wary of faults in the disc itself, like depressed areas from stamps, they tend to bleed easy.
