I've seen this term used in some of the disc golf forums, but no matter how much I search them, I've yet to find a definition for OAT.

OAT equals Off Axis Torque. When a disc is thrown and the torque is not on plane with the disc, the disc will wobble badly and fly poorly.
So OAT is bad!
The flutter that happens right off your fingertips. It is more noticeable on forehand throws, typically.

When your disc flies like a wounded duck, that is OAT. AKA, flutter.
could be "over-arm throw" like a tomahawk or thumber!
Question was answered correctly by Rob and Mark Ellis. OAT = Off Axis Torque.
So if your on a course, and the disc comes out weird (fluttering), you say "damn, to much OAT", or do you tell your buddy who is chest deep in the shule and no real path to the basket, "hey man, try an over arm throw, you know, a tomahawk or thumber" Code name: OAT!! ha, just messing around!
OIC!...Thanks for the replies guys.
