The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I know there have been other discussions posted about having your disc golf bag as a carry on...However, I am curious if those of you who have flown kept your backpack-style straps attached to your bag or not.

I'll assume better safe than sorry and bring the should strap.

I fly with my discgolf bag every other week. I keep my straps on, wear it like I would playing then put it in the overhead compartment. Remember, I can take my discgolf bad and computer bag as carry on for free but have to pay $15 to check my luggage. If you only have discgolf bad and a small suitcase then you can carry on for free.
Dont forget to go through your bag and remove anything from it that may be banned from taking on the plane (liquid, big cans of bug spray, medicine not in a personally marked bottle, nail clippers, knives). Most NTS agents know what discgolf discs look like now so you should have no problems but they my want to look in your bag.
Yup, I bring it straps and all. No problem.
