Compared to its capacity, are there twice as many people who would want to play it? Ten times as many?

Or, how many more courses at (or near) that location would it take before there were no line-ups at the tees?

200 - 300 players every day.
Maybe not always that busy , but sometimes its difficult to get a parking spot !!
it's so busy I wouldn't waist the gas money to drive down there to play a two plus hour round, but it is a awsome course.
2-hour? Wow, Jack, you're pretty fast! But seriously, Steve, your questions are great ones. I think Donny's estimates on number of players is low for weekends and holidays. I'm betting it's closer to 400+ on those days. And many people share Jack's sentiment and don't play there because of the long time it takes to play. On weekday afternoons or weekends after 10am the course fills up with large groups - sometimes 8 to 10 players or more. Waits on the tees can approach 10 to 15 minutes. So your idea of ten times as many people wanting to play could be an underestimate.

Which is why a number of us affiliated with the San Diego Aces Disc Golf Club are working hard to add courses to San Diego County. Along with the "Fly-18-like" courses at Sun Valley in La Mesa and Emerald Isle in Oceanside we added a 9-holer last year at Montiel Park in San Marcos, 25 miles north of San Diego. This winter we open a 6-hole "kids' course" at Sunset Park in San Marcos and early in 2010 an 18-hole course will be installed at Cal State University San Marcos. There is also an 18-hole course approved for a park in Escondido, next to San Marcos. And that's not all - there are others in the works.

We're just trying to catch up after years of little course development effort.
Thanks to all. I'm going to close this discussion, because I realize I asked the wrong question. See the "How much more often would you play your home course if it weren't ever crowded?" discussion.
