 waterproofing spray.  pretty cool IMO. I would use this on my shoes as well. would it effect flight?  would it even be PDGA legal at some point in the future?

Why do you need to waterproof plastic?

Yeah i'm trying to figure this one out also????

I would check with the PDGA Board of Directors First before anything.

As of Right now , Today , the only thing that is allowed on Disc's is Permanent Marker or if the Disc is Dyed with no detectable thickness.

 Please contact the PDGA First !!!!!!

hehe, I know Donny. thanks for the warning though.

Plastic is water proof already. Isnt this already a known fact? This is why plastic needs to be recycled. It does not break down as normal. Water proof plastic is redundant. This is why water beads on plastic. It's like saying "wet water." Why would some one call water wet, it's water.

I believe the idea here would so the water beads up and never actually sticks to the disc, like what Rain-x does.

"water repellent" not "water proof"

Not really. Water may bead up on plastic, but if it were truly smooth, then the water wouldn't be able to bead up, it would run off. The plastic has microscopic pores that allow the water to pull itself together and sit on the plastic. Also, plastic is capable of retaining some water, though not much.

perhaps "heavy" water as in the WWII atomic bombs.maybe ;>}

hehe, tough crowd :)

I don't think its a bad idea at all. Plastic by nature is slightly porous. The same can be said of glass. Products like Rain-X are designed to yield additional resistance to water. Good post. Try it out and let me know. It may be an effective way to keep your towel dry longer. See if there is any grip differences though.

no body else aught the humor
