The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

I live in between Orlando and Daytona and I think we have a good scene here. I am going to be spending a lot of time in the S. Florida area, from West Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale to Miami and was wondering how the scene is down there and would like to make some contacts so I have some people to play with. I have checked the courses out online and played one in Hialeah over there west of downtown. Can't remember the name off the top of my head though. If anybody on here plays down there, let me know how it is and what the good courses are. Thanks in advance!!!

theres only one course in west palm that has baskets, its off of PGA Blvd and is called pga somthing or other, its a nice nine hole course designed to play in a circle then backwards for the other 9. besides that , you'd have to come over the the tampa bay area to play our 6 or so local courses. Im not sure if there is one in MIA I didnt ever make the trip when I was living in west palm for a little bit.
Yeah, there are like 2 or 3 in the Mia area and I played one, but we were the only group out there. I have checked that WPB course out online and I think another one has gone up recently as well. Im just hoping there are some people that play.
You moving already Pete? ...The best Course down there I believe...wide open windy...would be Tradewinds
Wheres Tradewinds at buddy, Ft. Lauderdale? How is it? I'm not moving for a few months and will be back up to play with you guys at least once a month since I can get from WPB to Daytona in a couple hrs. You know I cant stay away! There does not seem to be to much going on down there although there are quite a few courses I have found through Google. 3 in Miami, 1 in Ft. Lauderdale and it looks like 2 in West Palm. Its gonna suck to not have a great group of guys that are so dedicated to the sport like we have up here. It looks like I will have my work cut out for me down there and you know you will always have a place to stay when you make it down that way.
Tradewinds is in Lauderdale....BIG arm wide open windy course...plenty of water...one hole I remember played out of a tunnel of Pepper trees....skeeters so thick....everybody waits out in the sun away from the tee box....runs in to throw...runs out screaming "holy $#!t...I ain't never seen skeeters like that!!!!"

There is no repellent strong enough for those flesh eating blood suckers!! They feed off of it!! Good place to domp a body!! HA!
I dont think it is possible to have bigger skeeters than we had at DeBary after that week of rain we last month. They were prehistoric and looked like they were fried by radiation and turned into something from a horror flick. You know what they say though, FL had contemplated making the mosquito our state bird. HAHA Anyway, is there a group that plays there or were you just there on the tour? How would you rate the course?
Yeah those "Land that Time Forgot" skeeters are working there way north...trust me. DeBary is nothing compared to some places around this state. Some places you need to a bee suit complete with netted headgear. You will run for your life!!!

Water Boarding as an interrogation method....I say stick the suspected terrorist out in the low lying tidal oyster swamps around Mosquito Lagoon in late September for about 30 minutes.
