The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

A grant was just awarded to Southwestern Community College (Creston, Iowa) - http://www.swcciowa.edu/. The college will purchase 9 Chainstars from Discraft, pay for shipping and handling for all 18, and get 9 free via the Disc Golf Foundation. The DGA (Disc Golf Association) and Innova Champion also participate in this program.

The Disc Golf Foundation is a 501(c)(3) started by the PDGA and then spun off to further the sport of disc golf. In addition to the matching baskets program (several grants are still available for 2010, BTW) the foundation can assist local groups in obtaining tax-deductible contributions for major donors.

Gonna have to get a piece of that!
This is something I would be very interested in for the course I'm designing. How do I qualify for these grants?
Is that something that the high school I am wanting to lobby can get?
Unfortunately, no, it isn't. It is restricted to colleges and universities.
Follow that link I put up and read the page, plus look at the attached document. That lays it out.
