Is there any wind? Is the terrain flat? Is there a hill or a drop off past the basket? Does my lie give me an easier forehand or backhand route? Am I trying to make it or lay it up? Is the window tighter high or low?
Generally I want to take this shot forehand. I am better at the forehand shot at this range and it is easier to hit a precise line forehand since I can face the target throughout the shot (one of the best reasons to learn a forehand is to negotiate tight tunnels).
Probably I choose a Soft Magnet or my beat in Buzzz ( it sounds like a close call between those two discs) but maybe a Rattler (tailwind or downhill) or a Z Buzzz (headwind or right to left crossing wind or uphill).
If it is the last hole and I'm trailing by one and willing to risk blasting long (or in doubles if my partner is parked) then I run it with the beat in Buzzz. If there is a drop off past the basket or I just want to play it safe and make sure I don't blast past then the Soft Magnet.
