Mine is Opto 172 and flies wherever I tell it to go...its my go-to disc--I love it!
thanks! how's the distance?
the forehand maxes out around 400 and the backhand around 425 (on a good day!)...but the flight is so reliable, I'm usually not too worried about the distance; its a disc I use when i need to hit a tight line...
great! i throw very similar (no FH anymore) but that's about what i'm at. i realize that it's not a super distance driver like the havoc or halo, i was just wondering what kind of arm power you had so i could judge whether i could get the same kind of control that you are getting. thanks again
i use a 169 opto striker.  i like it.  flies similar to a teebird with just a touch more speed.  will hold a flat or anny line beautifully.  it will hold a soft hyzer line as well, though i don't use it for that.  i would say i can put it about 325' (which is quite close to my high end on distance).  i have not really tried it forehand.  i have to add that opto plastic is gotta be the most beautiful and durable stuff out there.
thanks! my teebird (+ mold) is overstable, so i'm hoping that a striker would be more workable, and from the increased distance that you talk about, it sounds like it is.
my T+ was overstable too.  the striker is definitely more workable than that disc.  it has a touch more glide than my star T and therefore outshoots it by about 10-20'.  the glide on those lat 64 discs is sick!  they just keep going......

going and going and going...

good to hear the direct comparison to the TB+! sounds like i'm about to pick a striker up!

Thanks for starting this discussion because I recently got one. Had to dye it before it went in the bag. Haven't thrown it much but I'm now looking forward to throwing it more.

ha no problem man. let me know how it goes.

which plastic type did you dye?

I got an opto one. crystal clear. So I had to dye it.
no doubt. i was gonna say, it would seem like a tragedy to dye the gl plastic - it's beautiful as is!
