Has anyone seen or made tee pads that are concrete on the last 2-3 feet (for the pivot and planting) but natural up to the concrete. My Idea was to have the edge of the pad fade right into the lawn? have you seen or played on such pads. will it work?

I think it could work in the beginning, but I think the weather could also play into effect here. The natural part would start to erode and then you would have an uneven surface to drive on. I think it would be too much of a pain to repair the launch pad every couple months. However, if you are using something like gravel, the erosion factor wouldn't come into play as much but then you have the change of surface issue that others were talking about. Just some things to consider...
any other thoughts on this?
