The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Our newly formed club is hosting our first sanctioned tourney, a C-tier, this spring.
We want to leave a great first impression about our club and the kind of events we plan to run in the future, so in addition to making sure we are well organized and the course is in top shape, we want to put together a great players' pack.

So my question to you is...

What is the best players' pack you ever received for a non-sanctioned, C, or B-tier event?
(Obviously A-tiers and Majors bring in more money, so lets leave them out of this for now)

Just to help give us some perspective, tell us what the entry fee was too.

What are your favorite things to receive in a player's pack?

What things could you care less for?

Free beer and food! Does it get any better?
DX plastic Roc max weight and a tee shirt.
Not terrible for a "B" tier event.
we did two Z/champ discs with custom tourney stamp and a free lunch with lots of ctps. everyone seemed pretty happy, go through discraft you can get a lot more for less $$$. set times for start of rounds and stick to them! very important! our event was over by 430 and we were at the bar drinking at 5! beer is nice but can cause legal issues, i would go with byob or free cup with purchase of raffle tickets but make sure you check id's if you go with the raffle thing.
Best tournament I even went to was the Ale Asylum Open last halloween in madison,wi. Got a free pint glass that you could take to the brewery afterwards and get a free pint, great pizza for lunch that 90 plays had trouble finishing, feel message chair lady, plenty of ctps, you there were 100 custom raffle discs you could buy and the prize was a sweet blaze oragne basket, the super nices ones that are like real course baskets. And the after party at the brewery was a blast, cant wait till the next one.
the best keep it green is B tier in bowling green 4 discs and a fat tee and bag this is a must go to tournament 3 more of them to go to...augusta classic two years ago A tier 15 dollars to spend in the pro shop no shirt we got lunch and cook out but a tee shirt is better i think or a disc with the tournament name ,
NorCal Series Championships:

A Tee Shirt,
A Champion Disc, mine was a Monarch, but they had some other molds
A Tri-tip BBQ lunch with two types of kegs of ale. This was at the non-sanctioned doubles event following the singles play.
Worst was - NOTHING at the Indy State Finals ran by Brian Cummings. Ok, so we got hot dogs at lunch (but they were out of buns). This was a B-Tier btw, where a players pack is required for ams. Also, the payouts sucked and the discs were priced high. I vowed to not play in his tourneys anymore, because of this and a couple of other reasons, but have since played in the Homie and had a better experience. He seems like a good enough guy, but I still feel like the players got screwed at the Indy States. I'll still play it this year for the competition though.

Best would be 3 esp/star discs, lunch and bell's beer on tap at the Lumberjack last year. Granted, the entry fee was steep, but nobody was complaining about their players pack!
Hands down the best "player pack" I've received was the "Taken it all in". 3 days of camping, course fees, lunch and dinner for two days, enough free beer to kill a small village and all for $35.00. Oh ya and a tournament stamped disc, mini and bag tag.
Just a couple other things not listed already, that ive seen:

water bottle's, shammie's, stickers, snacks, and hats.

Go for that extra effort and players will be bragging about it everywhere.

One of the coolest thing I saw a T.D. do is take pictures all day long, and played them using power point during the awards.

Also Ring of fires are a great way to keep people busy while finishing up the scores.

Ohh when and where is your tourny, I want some of this soon to be awsome players pack ;b
I got some plastic mold cowboys and indians in a players pack once. Hard to beat that.
best: event t-shirt, event golf towel, reusable score card, and choice of a dx disc.
worst: choice of a baseball cap with a random logo on it or an xxl t-shirt (i wear a medium and don't wear hats)
