The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

As my first ever season of disc golf is drawing to a close I can't help but think about how far I have come in such a short time. From not being able to flip a leopard to throwing huge 400ft bombs with a Valkyrie, Wraith, or Teebird. From not understanding why I keep flipping Rocs over(OAT) to being able to put a Comet on a decently straight line without flipping it. From being a REC player to winning my first ever tournament(Am3) to going up a division and placing 4th in my second ever tournament(Am2). I also placed 4th in my local random draw doubles league and got my first ace even though it was only in a casual round.

I've met so many cool, helpful, and kind people not only in person but on the internet on sites like this one too. I want to say thank you for all the help and advice that you all have given me and hope you will continue to be so generous with your knowledge in the future as well. Hopefully I can improve as much next season as I did this season.

Thanks Again, judozuna

The season ends!! Darn it. No one told me. When is the last day? :)

Congrats on a good year in tournaments.
wow......... it's season over / lights out / we'll see you next year........... i don't think so... i still play 9 days a week...
but i do agree with the THANK YOU's to all the great folks i have the honor to call my friends in this game and on the web...

judozuna.... the season never ends for me till they spread my ashes out over my home course
Yea I don't plan on stopping completely but I doubt I'll be playing if there is snow on the ground. the cold doesn't bother me its the wet that will keep me indoors during the winter.
move south, no snow but the rain is no reason to not play,,,,,,,,
LOL...from mobile,al

be good
have fun
You gotta try snow discing, its not nearly as bad as you think, just be careful with white discs if you dont have ribbon taped on.
Players have their own preferences and I am fine with whatever their comfort level is but the "wet" comment confuses me.

Wet? I don't think of Winter as wet. Any given day you might run into a snowstorm or the dreaded ice rain ( Ok, ice rain is nasty stuff) but most times I don't get wet. Your allowed to wear items which protect you from direct exposure to wet, principally boots and gloves.

Wet? In Winter cold is prevalent but wet is as rare as any other season. Snow is no more wet than morning dew.

BTW hard core players play as much in Winter as in Summer. Your competitors are not taking the season off.
So hardcore !!!
