The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

Brian Graham and I talked on the phone this afternoon and cleared much air.  Based on that conversation, I have decided to post the editorial to the PDGA Discussion section tomorrow morning.

I was amazed at the number of helpful comments I received here in just a few hours time.  I do appreciate it.  If I had decided to go with an independent forum, I would certainly have posted here.  Thank you all.

Peter Shive,
The PDGA did you a favor. Nothing creates interest like controversy. And little (if anything) published in the PDGA Magazine gets garners significant attention. Heck, even the PDGA discussion board is widely ignored by the membership. So while you may publish it at the PDGA site you should also publish here.

The PDGA discussion board, like all discussion boards, also loves controversy. So merely by indicating that your opinion was banned/rejected/withheld/censored from the magazine will cause it to be noticed (by the few in attendance).

But you already have an audience here. Are we not worthy?
I can't belive you made two posts about whether or not to post your editorial. What a bunch of hype. I don't even want to read it after all this.
Boo !! Hiss !!
I agree with Mr Ellis. Post your piece here too.
im with sam jones. boo you.
The editorial is up on the PDGA DISCussion board...see link:

The editorial has been condensed/concised (sp?)...Peter should post the entire editorial here...my 2 cents...
Read the article and the New Board believes that this approach is growing the sport.

My personal believe is that there is NOT enough coming from 'outside' the sport.
There is too much 'playing for your buddies money' going on.
TD's literally are begging for sponsorships.
This is still a 'charity sport.'
If you look at the budget, the PDGA does post this...
You see where the money goes....

If you feel strongly about this, than the saying goes: get involved.
Run for the office and make change.
Maybe someone with the time, initiative, business sense can do this.
Any way the "magazine does not exist any more."
The internet is too powerful.
Thanks for posting this.....
kinda knew what was going on.
It would be nice to know everything going on.
That is the entire editorial. I never wrote an expanded version because of the word limit imposed by the magazine. I am sure that, if there is any confusion due to brevity, it will be taken care of in the ensuing discussion.
