The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf

In the beginning I used to only worry about putting and how far I could throw the disc.  After watching a tourtament hosted in Ocala, I started to ask some of the pros what I should concentrate on.  I remember this skinny guy with a monster afro telling me "smooth is far.  It doen't matter if you can throw 500+ft, but it does matter if you can throw 300ft accurately."  Turns out the skinny kid was Nikko...  Great advice.

Get off the computer...go and throw!

Cut the macho sh*t, we're just throwing frisbees in a park.

There are many pieces of advice or words of wisdom.

1) Shut the F*ck up and throw.
2) Just have fun.
3) Shoot for Par and take the birdies as they come.
4) Play your game, F*ck everyone else
5) Don't let a bad throw ruin the hole.
Don't let a bad hole ruin the round.
Don't let a bad round ruin your fun.
6) Drive for show, putt for dough.
7) Throw the round disc.
8) Don't lose your cool. No one likes an a*shole
9) Don't change your routine when playing in a tournament.
10) "That's what she said" can be used in many cases. Hahaha

Drive for show, puttputtputt for boge.

Aim for a specific chain link when putting.

I've heard that one too.  Helped me out tremendously!

Think less, putt more!

i try to put less too

I raised my rating by 50 points following some simple advice given to me by Mike Raley:

"Practice."

Vic beat me to it...    I was going to say.... "throw the round one"

Nah,that's a steal Jamie.

Be smart enough to play stupid. In other words, don't think too much, trust your skills and throw
