The Community of Disc Golfers and About All Things Disc Golf
The Olympics are great.
Always cool to watch.
Ryan Lochte went to the high school I taught at, and found out today that a USA Mens volleyball player is from Ormond Beach Florida..... up the road....
Wouldn't it be great to know a disc golfer in the Olympics!
Always talk of it, but never happening.
Maybe before I get old? Like to see it as a sport recognized.

Permalink Reply by Bruce Brakel on August 2, 2012 at 12:09pm The way the badminton doubles tournament worked was first they had a round robin tournament where no one would be eliminated just for losing one match. The teams with the best records from the round robin tournament then would advance to a single elimination tournament where the teams would be seeded by how they did in the round robin. If the two Chinese teams had gone undefeated, they would not play each other until the last match, the gold-Silver match, if they both made it that far. But one of the teams lost a match so now the seeding would result in them meeting in the semi-final. So that team intentionally lost another match to get in a different place in the bracket. When the Chinese did that, the Koreans and Indonesians decided to play the same game. All of them were disqualified for cheating.
